Tron Bonne - Megaman

Tron Bonne 2024:
I decided that after many years of cosplaying, I wanted to tackle and reattempts a costume that I loved dearly. Over the years, I felt as though I'd learned so much cosplay and craftsmanship wise, that I could do her better justice. There had also been so many new materials and techniques since I originally made her, I wanted to try something new and improve her look!
This costume actually took three attempts! For my first attempt, I was not happy with the fit. This was on my patterning of the top and the bottom fabric allotment. This was just an error on my part, but this mockup allowed me to make the final outline of her top that I was happy with.
The second top I loved, however, I wanted to attempt a proper flair out with the bottom of her top. It sits just above her hips and flairs out with no visible support. I thought using a material called fosshape in the lining would give me this effect. However, upon installing the fosshape, I realized it was much too bulky for the type of stretch fabric I was using and it looked terrible, IMO. So, that had to go too.
Lastly, I remade the top with the same pattern. This time, I installed some metal boning I had which I originally purchased for a hoop skirt build. This metal gave me a similar effect that I was super happy with. I installed boning channels on the left and right side seams for added flair structure. I just used a plastic boning to ensure the fabric did not fold in and stayed flared out. The metal boning of the hem kept everything else in place.
The jacket was also completely remade. I went with her updated Legend/MvC2 look of the blue jacket instead of my original black version from Misadventures of Tron Bonne. This time around I added more fabric to the sleeves for a "puff" effect. I also lined this jacket with white material for added accuracy as well as made a functioning collar this time around.
The gloves were made using the turkey hand method out of the same pink fabric. Then I made a white cuff and attached it to the glove. I filled the white cuff with layered Tulle for added structure and volume.
Her Bonne symbol on her check was made of a Styrofoam ball cut in half. I then covered the Styrofoam in batting and white stretch fabric. The face was hand painted onto the top of the shape. I sealed the back with EVA foam for a smooth finished look. Then, simply glued the EVA foam to my top.
Lastly was her metal belt "chastity belt." This was made of EVA foam with painted googly eyes for the notches. It was glued to a pair of blue thong style panties.
The wig for this version was actually styled by: Wisperia Workshop
Default Tron Bonne:
Tron Bonne is a wonderful character. I can't help but love her and that includes dressing as here for cosplay!
The top I sewed, after drafting an easy pattern and added batting to the bottom to give it the "flared out look."
For the Jacket I made it black like the MisAdventures of Tron Bonne version. I used a basic bolero pattern.
The Shoes I painted and modified to match after finding a unique style at Target on clearance.
Her chastity belt I made of pleather so it would be comfortable to walk and sit.
Lab Coat Version:
Simple to make, comfy to wear and all around a lot of fun.
I did take a couple extra steps because it was such a simple dress, like adding loose lining inside the dress. Overall I wasn't comfortable wearing it without the lab coat so thanks so much for that being an accessory.
