About me - Hooded woman
Hello and welcome! I'm Hooded Woman. Though my name is actually Dani'elle, having a name even my brother had difficulty saying as a child, I typically go by Dee.
I am a passionate & creative soul. As a child that would fall into all kind of arts and crafts. Attending art camps and summer programs revolving around creative hobbies at every chance I got! My love of costumes really began with Halloween as I would always select my favorite characters from anime and video games to make. Due to this, it didn't take long before I discovered the incredible world of cosplay!
With the help of my grandmother, I learned how to sew and create my own costume patterns. Those lessons became much more than learning a craft, they were cherished moments of bonding that helped shape the person I am today. In fact, I still use the very sewing machine she taught me on for each of my projects.
More than 20 years later, that passion has grown into a lifelong journey. I've created over 150 costumes, been honored as an award-winning cosplayer, and have had the privilege of representing incredible brands and communities through cosplay. Whether I'm appearing as a convention guest, hosting educational panels, judging cosplay competitions, or creating content as an official Capcom Creator, I'm grateful for every opportunity to share my love of the hobby with others.
What means the most to me, however, isn't the awards or recognition, it's the community. Cosplay has introduced me to some of the most talented, passionate, and inspiring people I've ever met. One of my greatest joys is sharing techniques, craftsmanship, and encouragement with other creators. Hopefully, helping others discover the confidence to bring their own ideas to life!
My creativity doesn't stop at cosplay. I've also found a passion for streaming and creating gaming content, where I can share my love of video games while connecting with an amazing community. Whether I'm crafting a new costume, playing the latest release, or chatting with viewers, I love bringing people together through our shared interests.
And when I’m not sewing, crafting, gaming, or attending conventions, you’ll usually find me spending time with my 7 cats: Trinity, Bruce, Momma, Edmond, Smol, Bear, and Steiner. All of which are rescues.
Through cosplay, gaming, crafting, and fandom culture, my goal has always been to inspire creativity, share knowledge, and build meaningful connections with others. Every costume tells a story, every convention creates new memories, and every person I meet reminds me why I fell in love with this community in the first place.
