Tendo Rushuna - Grenadier
Why this costume:
I made this costume after watching and falling in love with the series.
Details:
This costume was my first experience with difficulty in finding the proper fabric in the right color! I was living for it all the same, however, as it allowed me to attempt to dye it myself. The color on her top and skirt was a very light blue, yet it had to be thick enough that it wasn't see-through. I found exactly what I wanted in white, and after dying it once in my bathtub it turned out perfect! Since, I have dyed a few other fabrics but this costume allowed me the opportunity to try something new!
The red shirt was knit fabric which I added a pink bias to. I used the same red fabric to craft my gloves as well as the waist piece.
The boots were a pair I repainted both red and silver.
The Gun Belt was actually one my father let me borrow. As it was an authentic one he had!
The hat was a purchased sunhat that I just added the same details red/blue fabric to with a bow!
