Makima - Chainsaw man cosplay

Why this costume:
Chainsaw Man was an anime I was not expecting to enjoy as much as I did. I was immediately drawn to Makima. After the first season ended I continued reading the manga, and well...I was that much more dedicated to the idea of doing this cosplay.
Details Construction:
This costume really didn't require much sewing on my part. For that reason, I didn't really share it here. The clothing used was all gathered pieces. The coat was from a previous cosplay as well. The wig I did cut and style myself after the first wear. I initially wore this costume to Holiday Matsuri, but after having hotel staff walk into my hotel room on me while I was preparing to get in this costume (I was fresh out of the shower)...I was just too shaken up to complete my last details. This is why you will find some of my photos have a little longer bangs as well as do not have my contacts in. I was still too shaken up and just wanted to get out of the room and checkout as soon as possible.

Makima - Beach Scene

Details Construction:
This costume was actually one I knew would be comfortable! While this scene is iconic, I definitely wanted to wear a comfortable dress at an event. So, Beach Episode Makima was put together! Once again not much to talk about here. I modified an existing dress to get the look and just wanted to have fun in a alternate way for those who had read these chapters! :)
Makima - Bunny Suit

Why this costume:
When I saw this version of Makima, I knew I just had to put the look together. The tie/formal bunny was just such a good look for her. I actually had a Black Bunny suit for a previous costume, so I knew this was the perfect chance to recreate the look, but using supplies I already had on hand!
Details Construction:
The Bunny Suit itself was recycled from another costume. I didn't have to modify it. I simply pinned my bunny tail to the bottom/back. The tie was from Makima's standard outfit which I tied to a collar left over from a formal bunny I'd done previously. The cuffs were also recycled from that costume. The pantyhose were two layers, one sheer black the other, fishnets. I layered the fishnets on top. Finally my ears! These were actually made by the amazing Yaya Han. I thought with them being black they would be the perfect way to elevate the look of this costume! The band on my arm, was a belt from a random costume (I think Tina), that I found in my accessory bucket. I also recycled my shoes from Alastor for this costume.
