Lemina Ausa - Lunar 2 Eternal Blue
Why this costume:
So, Lemina is the exact type of energetic and passionate character I love in video games. While she maybe a little hot headed and stubborn, she has a goal and she's doing everything she can to meet it! As a long time fan of the Lunar series, I knew I had to make Lemina from Lunar 2!
Details:
This costume was actually done in several pieces.
The first piece was the black dress. This was a basic patterned skirt with a "V" neck top. I followed the pattern and modified it to fit her design with details. I used black cotton for the dress. The pink portions are bias that I sewed onto the chest and around the hem of the skirt. I also used this bias to seal my edges from fray.
The bow was made with red cotton as well. I made a belt and the bow snaps into place on the belt. The bow was given more body, like hers, by filling it with polyfil!
The collar/hood was actually a separate piece as well, that snaps around the neck to hold in place.
Lastly, I had a pair of black boots that I made cuffs for. They were made with the same white fabric as the collar and I used red bias for the details. The fold into the boot, so they can be removed and the shoes reworn without them!
