Janna - League of Legends
Why this costume:
I love League of Legends...and when I first started playing the game I started as support. I later learned other roles, and preferred them even, but I always loved the supports. I joined a team for a local tournament as their support. I played whatever support our shot caller asked for and Janna became one the other teams feared....even obtaining target bans!! I was so proud! My running joke was "They Scared me ULTI!" and that was the moment I knew I had to make her.
Details Construction:
Janna's costume changes from photos...to artwork...to in game model. There are so many things that aren't constant. He gloves, her leg guards, her top. So, I did my own take. I hand sewed and beaded the top. Adding Crystal beads for more details, a real 145 ct.Citrine for her center breast piece, rhinestones, and anything else sparkly I could get my hands on to add details to the costume!
The staff is different in each photo too. Sometimes it looks like crystals...other time smooth..and even sometimes like a cloud. So, the day before I spent the entire day making something that would work. I used expanding foam, Metallic Acrylic paints, cardboard, and spend most of the time carving and painting. It was a learning experience and though FAR from perfect, I think it was still pretty darn good for a project done in a day! It was all thanks to Ann who was not only my partner in crime for the shoot but the lady that really pushed me to make the staff!!
My crown was hand cut craft foam then blended and painted in the same method as my staff!
A HUGE thank you to Ann for being a trooper and braving the heat to shoot with me!
