Blonde Blazer - Dispatch
Why this costume:
I fell in love with the game Dispatch. In the process of playing, I fell in love with some many of the characters, but knew I just had to cosplay Blonde Blazer. I love her so much.
Details Construction:
The Bodysuit was designed by: Arachnid Studios
They offered a design both with and without the cape. I decided to get the style without the cape, so that I could make my own. I really wanted it to POP with the comic style of his suit design.
Armor/cape:
I made the pattern for the cape with some spare fabric I had. I kept draping it on myself until I was happy with the size and shape. Then, I made that pattern out of eva foam. Once I was happy again with the foam shape/size (it took a lot of adjusting), I used heat and bond to attach my yellow fabric to the foam. I added a collar to the armor with just some yellow fabric at the same time I made the cape. I just made a square, turned it, and pressed! Once the collar was attached, i closed up the back with some velcro! The last step was attaching the cape, which I also did with velcro, so I could remove it again in the future if needed.
The last step was added some comic style details with paint. I used a mixture of yellows, whites, black, and even red acrylic paints to give it some more color and style to match the suit!
Pendant:
The last part of this costume was the crystal or her jewel. The first time I wore this costume, I used a crystal I purchased from Etsy.
However, this design had a necklace ring on it, which was perfect for my other version I wanted to do in the future....didn't really work for this version. So, I had one resin printed and used that for my next version.
