Ryofu Housen - Ikki Tousen
Why this costume:
I got the idea to cosplay from the series Ikkitousen after watching the show. I fell in love with Ryofu and in turn read the manga where I fell even more in love with her!
Details:
The costume design itself was really simple. We have a basic pleated skirt, and a leather jacket.
The skirt I made myself one morning when I couldn't sleep. Laying out the fabric, I used heat and bond to attach the stripes. I then pleated the skirt and added a waist band and zipper.
The jacket was a second hand find. I found a red leather jacket rather inexpensive but that had some wear. The lining was falling out and the stitching in the sleeves need some help. I took out the old lining, replaced it...and fixed up the sleeves. While not perfectly accurate, it was nice to give this jacket a new purpose!
The shoes I already had. The socks I made with some white Kona cotton and elastic.
