Wallmarket Tifa - Final Fantasy VII

Why this costume:
I have also loved Final Fantasy VII and Tifa embodied the strong female characters I've always had an affinity to. So, I knew there was going to be a day I would one day make her costume and do her justice. So, when my friend Ari finished her Wallmarket Aerith I knew it was the perfect time to get on the right path to making one of my favorite costumes and make Wallmarket Tifa.
Details Construction:
This costume was completely drafted by draping fabric over my body. No pattern was used, I simply bought the fabric and drafted out the pattern in a slow process by draping. I went with Stretch Satin as the material for a couple reasons:
1. I knew the outfit was designed to be a "lady of the night" or clubbing style via the story arc when she wears the costume so I wanted something with a shimmer to it.
2. Going with a stretch material made it easier to fit and maker it as tight as I felt comfortable with.
The hardest part was probably the triangle "boob window" that I wanted to make sure retained it's shape when it was worn even with the stretch of the material, but even that didn't give me too much trouble with a few practice cuts.
The belt was made with EVA foam covered in a gold material I had left over from a previous project. It has a Velcro closure in the back.
