Saya - Blood - C
Why this costume:
I've been a huge Clamp fan since I first got into Anime and when Card Captor Sakura was literally my world. When I watched Blood-C I was instantly drawn to Saya. I love strong characters and she embodied everything I look for in my heroines.
Details:
The top, a simple button up black top, Simple enough. I then added the red detailing to the collar, sleeves, and shoulders. I used the same red I eventually made the skirt out of. I then placed grommets into the collar and attached the chain through it for the same design she has.
The skirt was a basic pleated skirt. I wanted to have the, very cute, lace petticoat...so I made my own. I took some simple black fabric and made a basic lining for the skirt. I then hand box pleated some ribbon and attached it to the bottom of the black skirt. Sewed it under the waistband of the skirt and then finished it nicely with the waistband. Over-all I was very pleased with my first time attempt at something like this.
The tie was made from the same red material and then I simply used Heat and bond to attach the black details.
The Glasses, I owned and needed and the wig was ordered online and styled before the convention.
