Liz - Soul Eater
Liz was an inspiring character in that she is tall, strong, and at the same time quite the "girly" type. The design on the costume attracted me to her as well, since I really enjoyed the hat and the ease of being able to simply wear a pair of modified jeans!
I made the top by modifying my old Blue Mary top. I added elastic to the bottom and it was perfect.
The hat was probably the most difficult. I used a base cowboy hat and attached fabric, bias, wire, and all kinds of goodies until I got the desired look.
The ties was a simple tie, made from some spare suiting fabric I had. I used that same material on the jeans. I sewed the small strips onto the belt loops for her details.
